The BCCU hosted a STEM Research Panel, an annual event, in collaboration with the MCU, QSCU, and CCU on November 6th, 2023. We featured a wide range of panelists, from undergraduate students and graduate students to professors, giving attendees insight into the field of STEM research. Students got the chance to hear about the groundbreaking research happening right here on campus and learned how panelists got involved in research. Attendees even had the opportunity to ask our esteemed panelists questions on how to join the field of research and for advice!

A Welcome Back to Science BBQ hosted by various Faculty of Science Course Unions to help Science students meet new friends and celebrate the start of another semester!

BCCU + MCU + Sip Happens hosted the annual wine tour, giving students the chance to visit two beautiful Okanagan Wineries, The View & Sperling Wineries, while learning more about the science of wine!

Last March we hosted a Biochemistry themed BINGO Trivia night at the Well Pub.During the event teams recieved a basket of fries and 1 non-alcholic beverage each which was Included In their (very small) registration fee. Winning teams recieved custom Biochemistry mugs, stickers and markers for their prize. 

The event was super fun and we can't wait to host another one like Ii this year!!

We collaborated with the MCU to put together an awesome wine tour which stopped at 3 different wineries In Kelowna. Members got to tour Vibrant Vine, Summerhill Pyramid Winery and The View winery. They also received a pizza lunch from Dunenzies. 

The event was a huge success! We can't wait for this years tour! Stay tuned for details ;)
